Email Aliases for Business - Why Teams Are Making the Switch
Every employee in your company has a work email address. That address is on your website, in LinkedIn profiles, on business cards, and in dozens of SaaS tool signups. When any one of those sources leaks — and statistically, several already have — the address ends up in spam databases and breach dumps permanently.

With aliases: Each service has its own alias pointing to a team inbox. The employee leaves, but the aliases and their associated services continue working. Reassign the forwarding destination and no service is disrupted.

- Audit your current exposure. List every SaaS tool, vendor, and external service that has your team’s email addresses. Check which of those addresses appear in breach databases using Have I Been Pwned.
- Create a naming convention. Consistent alias naming makes management scalable:
{team}-{service}@domainor{purpose}-{vendor}@domain. - Start with new signups. Do not try to migrate everything at once. Use aliases for every new service signup going forward. Migrate existing services gradually as subscriptions come up for renewal.
