Browsing and downloading files with Cloud Storage

When Cloud Storage is enabled, Cleanbox automatically extracts and stores attachments from incoming emails. Files are organized by sender, so you can quickly find attachments from a specific person or company — without digging through your inbox.

Requirements

Cloud Storage is available on paid plans (Personal and above). The Free plan does not include cloud storage. Each plan comes with a storage limit:

  • Personal — 1 GB
  • Premium — 10 GB
  • Advanced — 50 GB
  • Enterprise — 200 GB

Accessing Cloud Storage

Click Cloud in the sidebar to open the Cloud Storage overview page.

The Cloud overview page

At the top of the page you’ll see whether Cloud Storage is currently enabled or disabled for your team, along with a progress bar showing how much storage space you’ve used relative to your plan’s limit.

Below that, you’ll find a list of contacts who have stored attachments. Each row shows:

  • Contact name and email — the sender whose files are stored
  • Number of files — how many attachments have been saved from this contact
  • Total size — the combined size of all stored files from this contact
  • Storage toggle — enable or disable storage for this individual contact
  • View files — a button to browse all attachments from this contact

Viewing files from a contact

Click View files on any contact row to see all their stored attachments. For each file you’ll see:

  • Filename
  • File type
  • File size
  • The date the email containing this attachment was received

Downloading files

Click on any file to download it directly to your device.

Per-contact control

You can toggle cloud storage on or off for individual contacts using the switch next to each contact row. This gives you fine-grained control over what gets stored.

This is especially useful if a particular sender sends large attachments you don’t need to keep, or if you want to save storage space by only keeping files from your most important contacts.

Enabling or disabling Cloud Storage

Use the toggle at the top of the Cloud page to enable or disable Cloud Storage for your entire team.

  • When enabled — Cleanbox automatically extracts and stores attachments from incoming emails.
  • When disabled — new attachments will not be stored. Any files that were previously saved remain available until you delete them.

You can re-enable Cloud Storage at any time to start collecting attachments again.
