Searching and filtering your messages
As your message log grows, finding specific emails becomes important. Cleanbox provides search and filtering across messages, quarantine, and contacts.
Searching messages
On the Messages page, use the search bar to find messages by:
- Subject — Partial match on the email subject line
- Sender name — The display name of the sender
- Sender address — The sender's email address
Search results update as you type. Combined with the alias filter, you can narrow down to messages from a specific sender on a specific alias.
Filtering contacts by state
On the Contacts page, use the state tabs to filter:
- All — Every contact
- Unset — Contacts with no specific state (default)
- Whitelisted — Trusted senders
- Prioritized — Important senders
- Muted — Senders whose email is delivered but marked as read
- Blocked — Senders whose email is rejected
You can also search contacts by name or email address using the search bar.
Sorting
Messages can be sorted by date (newest or oldest first). Contacts can be sorted by name, email count, or last seen date. Click the column headers to change the sort order.
Searching quarantine
The Quarantine page has its own search bar. Use it to find specific quarantined messages before deciding whether to accept or reject them.
