Understanding your dashboard and analytics

Your Cleanbox dashboard gives you a real-time overview of your email activity. This article explains each section and what the numbers mean.

Message chart

The main chart shows your daily email volume over time. Use the dropdown to select a time range:

  • Last 30 days — best for spotting long-term trends
  • Last 14 days — a balanced view
  • Last week (default) — your recent activity
  • Last 24 hours — useful for troubleshooting delivery issues right now

The chart shows three lines: delivered (green), blocked (blue), and failed (purple). If you have snoozed messages, those appear as a fourth line (gold).

Cleaning score

The circular percentage shows how much of your email Cleanbox filtered out. It is calculated as:

Cleaning score = filtered messages / total messages x 100

Filtered messages include everything that was denied by contact states, rejected by spam thresholds, caught by filters with a deny action, or blocked by Shield rules. A higher score means more unwanted email was caught before reaching your inbox.

Below the percentage, you see the raw numbers: for example, "150 of 1500" means 150 messages were filtered out of 1500 total.

A typical cleaning score depends on how many aliases you use and where you shared them:

  • 0-10% — You receive mostly wanted email. Common for new accounts or careful alias users.
  • 10-40% — Normal range for active users with a mix of newsletters and spam.
  • 40%+ — You are receiving significant unwanted email. Consider reviewing which aliases get the most spam and adjusting spam thresholds.

Top categories

Shows the most common contact categories among your senders, displayed as percentages. This helps you understand what types of senders email you most — Shopping, Social Networks, Finance, News, etc.

Delivery breakdown

A detailed breakdown of what happened to your messages:

StatusColorMeaning
DeliveredGreenSuccessfully delivered to your mailbox via IMAP (or forwarded via SMTP for relay addresses).
BlockedBlueCombined count of denied (by contact states, filters, or Shield) and rejected (by spam threshold) messages.
FailedPurpleDelivery was attempted but failed — usually because the destination mailbox was unreachable, full, or returned an error.
SnoozedGoldCurrently held by a Shield delivery window. These messages will be delivered when the next window opens. Only appears if you have snoozed messages.

The stacked bar below the list visualizes these proportions. The total count at the bottom shows your all-time message count.

Recent messages
