Creating your account and verifying your email
Getting started with Cleanbox takes less than a minute. This guide walks you through creating your account, verifying your email address, and choosing your setup path.
Step 1: Create your account
Visit my.cleanbox.app/register or click any "Start free trial" button on the website. You will need to provide:
- First and last name (optional but recommended)
- Email address — This becomes your login and is where Cleanbox sends account notifications
- Password — Minimum 8 characters
After completing the CAPTCHA verification, click Create free account. No credit card is required — you start on the free plan automatically.
Step 2: Verify your email
After registration, Cleanbox sends a verification email to the address you provided. The email contains an 8-character verification code. Enter this code on the verification page to activate your account.
Did not receive the email?
- Check your spam folder — The email comes from
no-reply@mail.cleanbox.app. - Wait a moment — Delivery usually takes seconds but can occasionally take up to a minute.
- Click Resend — On the verification page, click the resend button to get a new code.
Verification code expiration
Each verification code is valid for 30 minutes. If it expires, request a new one using the resend button.
Step 3: Choose your setup path
After verification, Cleanbox offers three onboarding paths:
| Path | Best for |
|---|---|
| Alias | Protecting your real email with @cleanbox.me aliases |
| Domain | Using your own domain with Cleanbox |
| Relay | Filtering inbound mail for an existing domain |
You can skip the onboarding and set everything up manually from the dashboard.
