Understanding plans, pricing, and usage limits

Cleanbox offers five plans designed to scale from individual use to business teams.

Weekly email quota

Your quota is the maximum number of emails Cleanbox processes per week across all aliases. The quota resets every 7 days. Track usage on your dashboard. If exceeded, incoming emails are temporarily not processed until the quota resets.

Retrievability

Retrievability is how long Cleanbox keeps a copy of processed messages. During this window you can view content, spam reports, retry delivery, and release quarantined messages. After expiration, messages are permanently deleted from Cleanbox (already-delivered emails remain in your mailbox).

Monthly vs. yearly billing

  • Monthly — Pay month-to-month, cancel anytime.
  • Yearly — Pay upfront for 12 months and save ~30% compared to monthly.

Upgrading your plan

  1. Navigate to Settings
  2. Select the plan you want
  3. Choose monthly or yearly billing
  4. Enter payment details (processed via Stripe)
  5. New limits take effect immediately

Downgrading

Downgrade takes effect at the end of your current billing period. Ensure your usage fits within the new plan limits before the switch.

Canceling

Cancel anytime from Settings. No contracts, no fees. Your paid features remain active until the end of the billing period, then your account reverts to the free plan. Aliases and mailboxes beyond the free limit are paused, not deleted.
